Acupalpus pauperculus

Acupalpus pauperculus
Groton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA
June 20, 2021

Moved
Moved from Seedcorn Beetles.

based on size alone, likely Acupalpus... gestalt of pauperculus

Acupalpus also works
for me. I don't know how to use the background calibrations to estimate body length. If Tom uses the same background often, then a word about these calibrations could appear in his profile. If it's common knowledge, I simply didn't know. I doubt I would remember again in 6 months, so a word in a photographer's profile would jog one's memory.

No measurement taken
but the background is the threads of my moth sheet.

So how did V know
"based on size alone"?

Moved
Moved from Ground Beetles.

Stenolophus
makes sense.
