Red larva? -
Polistes exclamans

I'd like to know why some of the smaller larva in this P. exclamans nest are red! anybody know?

yeah I am 100% sure of the species, i was just waiting to see if somebody could explain the larva thing. It only seems to be the smaller larva that are that color. I have seen this before with other nests, but never this extreme red color!
I'll move them to the guide then.
