Dragon 1 of 3 - Libellula luctuosa

Dragon 1 of 3 - Libellula luctuosa
Clarksville, montgomery County, Tennessee, USA
July 4, 2008
Size: 3 inches
I would like to find out what type of dragonfly this is. This is one picture of three. This dragonfly had blue on its wings. I found it in Dover Tennessee state forest. Small fire pond in the area. As I was photographing it, he got angry with me for getting too close and flashing. So his response to that anger was to fly off his post and bump me on the back and return to the same post. I have never known a dragonfly to act such a way as this one did.
