Plochionus timidus Haldeman 1843
timidus = 'timid'
Identification
outside extreme southeast (GA–FL–AL), any Plochionus with this shape of pronotum is this species; in the adventive P. pallens [MA–FL, IN–MO–KS, ?CA(1)], the pronotum narrows towards base
Range
e NA to CA (ON–NH–FL to IA-CA) & Baja - Map (2); the only widespread native sp. of the genus in our area(1)
