Anthicid? - Elonus basalis

Anthicid? - Elonus basalis
Silver Lake State Park, Hollis, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
July 8, 2021
Found marching around the surface of a leaf, but after a few photos took a rigid pose with it's head angled upward, probably in response to my camera's flash. This specimen is currently in my personal collection.

Elonus basalis
The patch of white hairs in the mid-region of the elytra (more visible in the photo of the relaxed beetle) are diagnostic for this species. In contrast, all the hairs in this region of the elytra on E. gruberi are black. Please realize density of white hairs in E. basalis is usually somewhat sparse. Your beetle is typical in this regard.

Perhaps Elonus gruberi:

Maybe?
The resemblance is close, but I don't know with certainty if it should be attributed to this species or not because we have other Elonus in the state like E basalis. I'm placing it at the genus level for now.

Sounds good
Was only a suggestion of relation, I don't know much about the genus.
