Xenochaetina?

Xenochaetina?
Silver Lake State Park, Hollis, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
July 8, 2021
Size: 3-4 mm
Found intently examining a stump of a red pine, Pinus resinosa showing signs of early decay. This was in an area of the park where there appeared to have been some relatively recent tree clearing for management purposes (last summer I noticed them marking trees, but they hadn't taken them down yet, so they must have done so this spring.)
