Info page
Once you browse through the images and find the one that it looks like, click the info tab and check out the info page. It often has identification marks, "should have this" "doesn't have this", check range and season, then check out the "See Also" section for look-alikes. And always remember that BugGuide doesn't have all of the species yet. So don't just pick the best match HERE. Sometimes you have to check out MPG or wait for an expert (I am not) to comment.

I would consider Eudryas unio (Pearly Wood-Nymph - Hodges#9299)
Notice the wavey scalloped edge where the white meets the brown on the tail. See both info pages for comparisons.
