Kissingeria
This is definitely not Trichapion rostrum. I believe it is a species of Kissingeria most probably amaura (Kissinger) but could also be capitone (Kissinger). The rostrum is slightly turned and slightly out of focus so that I cannot quite tell if the rostrum is straight to the tip or slightly bent. If straight then amaura if bent at tip then capitone. The host for both are species of Dalea. The specimen is a female. Also cannot be Trichapion tenuirostrum because the scale pattern is entirely different.

Kissingeria
I took a few more pictures of the rostrum. The distal end looks slightly bent. Would you classify this beetle as Kissingeria capitone? Thank you for reviewing this specimen!!

How can the data be updated correctly to “italicized” information or taxonomically updated in the system??
