An adult emerged from one of the ridged pupal cases, and it is an Aspilanta after all! Very strange.

One of the three may in fact be
A. oinophylla
. The other two (including the one in this photo) have a longitudinal ridge in the pupal case, indicating a true
Antispila
rather than
Aspilanta
. It is much smaller than
A. isabella
; I wonder if it could be the unidentified one you've found on
Parthenocissus
?
