Ischnomyia albicosta

Size: 3.7mm body length
I saw this little fly (3.7mm body length) on a daylily leaf in the evening. It walked around a few square cm of the leaf for several minutes. It always held the abdomen way up, never spread its wings, and often put its proboscis on the leaf.
