Long bug - Brachynemurus abdominalis

Long bug - Brachynemurus abdominalis
Wendell, Wake County, North Carolina, USA
July 9, 2008
Size: 2 in (body)
I rescued this from a spider web at night. This bug is shaped like a damselfly but the headgear seem a bit large for that. It is about two inches long but only about 1/4 of its length is shown in this image.
