Prionus laticollis or pocularis?

Prionus laticollis or pocularis?
Town of Kent, Putnam County, New York, USA
Size: 40mm or more
We are having a debate on BG Facebook whether this is Prionus laticollis or pocularis. One person contends that the pronotum is too narrow for laticollis. The eyes to me look too spread apart to be pocularis. The reddish-brown color may be more consistent with pocularis.

Frassed

I would be inclined
to call this P. laticollis based on the coarseness of punctation of the elytra. In P. pocularis the integument is much smoother and the punctures are more separated, not as dense as in this specimen.

The overall robust form also looks like laticollis to me - pocularis tends to be more parallel-sided and a bit more elongate.

Finally, I think the coloration is due to it being a recently emerged adult that hasn't fully darkened.
