Acmaeodera gillespiensis 27 mi. S. Balmorrhea, Jeff Davis County, Texas, USA July 11, 2021
On flowers
This species was very common wherever oak was abundant. The species is extremely variable but is still pretty easily distinguished in the field--it really has very little overlap in terms of maculation with mixta, and is shaped differently.
