you're looks like Omus californicus
I'd still wait for a final confirmation by an expert though. The other species is supposed to have the elytra broadest past the middle

I agree with Will, a male Omus californicus angustocylindrus is a likely identification.

I spent some time collecting...
O. c. angustocylindricus
, and this is questionable. So I placed it back in with
O. californicus
until more specimens can be located from this site. There is still a lot of work to do with the
Omus
of the northern Sierra Nevada.
