Abstract: Five genera of aquatic beetles are reported from Texas, USA, for the first time. Species recorded include

Suphis inflatus (Noteridae),
Hoperius planatus (Dytiscidae),
Dibolocelus ovatus,
Hydrobiomorpha casta and
Sperchopsis tessellata (Hydrophilidae).

Habitat notes are reported for 4 of these. In addition, some locality and habitat data are provided for Helobata larvalis (Hydrophilidae), which has only recently been recorded from Texas as H. striata. Label data are listed for 168 specimens representing the 6 genera in Texas.
