I think. I don't know what genus though.

 
Brachyphnoea
This is not a fleabeetle, but an oval leafbeetle (eumolpinae) from the genus Brachyphnoea. Note the antennal implant is not very close together and the hindfemora are not more swollen than the others. I´m not sure which species of Brachyphnoea this is, maybe this one here
Is your specimen reddish or is that just a lightreflexion
Do you know what plant is was on?

It's probably a light reflection. It looked completely black....at least to my eyes.
Don't know the plant it was on.
