Size: 4mm
Only one found crawling madly over Passiflora incarnata/passionflower vine. I have never observed one in our area before and could not capture it for better photos. Could this be a species of velvet ant?

Yes, I understand that. But,
Yes, I understand that. But, I don't automatically consider the options of "wasp" species when I think of "ant" species. This is very cool...to me, at least!
