Moth Fly

Moth Fly
Lacey (near Olympia), Thurston County, Washington, USA
July 12, 2008

Moved
Moved from Moth Flies.

Image
moved, looks correct

Maybe
Trichoptera (Caddisflies), How big maybe Hydroptilidae (Microcaddisflies)?

size
Had another one show up on my porch last night. Not much bigger than a leafhopper. Probably about as bit as a blue-green sharpshooter leafhopper.

Hmmmm...

OR

The way the face is hidden in hairs makes me think that Eric is probably right (again).

more pics
Ok, I'm going to turn the porch light on for an hour every night and lay in wait for this guy. We definitely need some better pics. :)

Hi Kevin,
I am fairly certain this is a moth fly.

Moth fly?
This reminds me of a moth fly, family Psychodidae. An indication of the size of the insect would be helpful here.
