Abstract

Hydnocera tibialis Wolcott, 1910 is synonymized under Phyllobaenus caeruleipennis (Wolcott, 1908); Hydnocera commixta Chapin, 1922, Hydnocera mira Wolcott, 1928, as well as Hydnocera humeralis var.

Notes on identification, distribution, & natural history of Phyllobaenus corticinus (Cleridae), plus report of 1st US record.

Abstract

The checkered beetle, Phyllobaenus corticinus (Gorham), previously known only from Mexico and Guatemala, is recorded as a new country record for the United States, based on specimens from Cameron County, Texas.
