Size: ~35mm
This large beetle was hunting moths and other insects on the ground under my moth sheet with a mercury vapor lamp. ~35mm, 6800', pinyon, native grasses, a few juniper. Identified on iNaturalist by Mike H. It seems rather far west and at higher elevation than is expected?
