Phenotypically matched A. promptana on BugGuide and Moth Photographers Group,
but then moved from Aethes promptana because of
confusion caused by BOLD misidentifications, see photo #353098

BOLD:AAC5446 is the BIN for angustana. True promptana is represented by BOLD:AAE0202 which contains specimens currently misidentified as mymara. True mymara is represented by BOLD:AAC8998. See original descriptions in references at MPG. Lots of BOLD errors for this genus. Hugh McGuinness has been sorting things out.
