"Certainly a Tibellus and probably oblongus. The paired spots on the
rear of the abdomen eliminate maritimus, and our other 2 species
chamberlini and gertschi live mainly in sagebrush country."

How large is this spider?
How large is this spider?
Can you get any more pictures of the same or similar specimens? Maybe a better shot of the eyes?
I almost want to say this might be one of the Nursery Web spiders, but I can't say for sure.
I don't believe it to be an orb weaver, and the legs don't look like Tibellus to me either.

Tibellus was really our first thought also,
but we couldn't get past those spiny legs, which seem so wrong for a Philodromid. We're just confused by this one!

Our first thought was the
Orb Weaver, Larinia, but we didn't find a match. maybe you have another species of Larinia out there??? (Or we could be miles off!)

Hmmm...
I have seen several specimens now while in my back pasture/meadow looking for things to photograph and have never seen webs for these. They seem to prefer waiting for prey on the blades of grass.
