Trogoderma sp? - Trogoderma ballfinchae

Trogoderma sp? - Trogoderma ballfinchae
Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico, USA
August 9, 2021
Size: 2.9 mm
This beetle showed up on some extra Boletus edulis we had gathered for eating. I'm not sure if it was attracted to the mushroom or was just accidental. I've never gotten a Trogoderma with this sort of antennae, although there are several in North America. I don't have access to Beal. Anyone know what species this is? Flabellate antennae and all hair looks black, no patterns that I can discern.

Moved from Trogoderma.

Thanks
I saw that on Herrmann's site but had no supporting information.

Keys to T. ballfinchae
... in Beal 1956 (1) in two step:

1. "Dorsal pubescence unicolorous" (2)
2. "male antenna flabellate; female antenna pectinate" and not "female
antennal club compact; segments of antenna only very slightly eccentric in male"

It is rare.
