Crambid? - Ancylosis albipenella

Crambid? - Ancylosis albipenella
Eastern Sierra, Inyo County, California, USA
July 17, 2021
~4150' elevation, Bishop.

Accidental discovery! Tube was connected to a branch of Wild Licorice (Glycyrrhiza lepidota), which I discovered when going thru cut food plant for a Melissa Blue caterpillar I was rearing.

3 days later a frisky caterpillar emerged with a tinge of pink, possibly looking for a place to pupate, then it disappeared. Approximately 2 weeks later this moth appeared. I never saw where it pupated, possibly back inside the tube.

Moved
Moved from Phycitini.

Moved
Moved from Butterflies and Moths. These were unliked at some point, presumably accidentally, so I've relinked them. I'll try to identify further soon.

Thank You
Thanks Aaron for this and all your other id’s. I’m especially intrigued by this one!
