Size: ~5mm
Saw this little guy in our garden, got only 2 photos before it disappeared in a single bound. (live oak/chaparral habitat).

Euscelis variegatus
The small dots on the wings and the female pregenital sternite are characteristic of this introduced species, common in the west.
