Rhagoletis completa? - Rhagoletis completa

Rhagoletis completa? - Rhagoletis completa
Vancouver , Clark County, Washington, USA
August 15, 2021
Size: 6.5mm
Based on the red scutum and the space between the middle and the v-shaped lines on the wings, I think this is Rhagoletis completa. If so it would be the first Washington record for this species on BugGuide. Found resting on the underside of a leaf of a large cultivated sunflower in late afternoon. 98⁰ at the old City cemetery in Vancouver, Washington. There are several walnut trees nearby.
