Wasp On Garlic - Scolia bicincta - male

Wasp On Garlic - Scolia bicincta - Male
Franklin, Williamson County, Tennessee, USA
August 17, 2021
Size: About 1"
This wasp was seen about 11:00 a.m. in an herb garden on a 5-acre, mostly organic farm. I believe it is a double-banded scoliid wasp (Scolia bicincta). The plant it is nectaring on is garlic (Allium sativum).
