Caught, with great effort, using a sweep net. Swinging the net from the side was almost useless. Swinging the net from above, crashing it against the ground, proved more effective, but I had to press the rim of the net against the ground. Otherwise, they would try to escape under the rim. Tiger beetles were found on wet or dry soil near the edge of ponds.
Cicindelidia ocellata was the most abundant species
