grayling butterfly or moth
Kiwanis Park South, London, Middlesex, Ontario, Canada
July 12, 2021
Size: 1"
It is on a white oak. I observed another like this on July 17. The immediate area is a sandy oak parkland.

Frassed
Moved from Butterflies and Moths. Definitely Lepidotera, but the glare on this insect makes it just about impossible to identify.

If it can't be ID'd how do I
If it can't be ID'd how do I delete?

do not delete
We do not want to delete at this point. It has been place in a location called 'Frass' and will sit there for a time before it is deleted. This gives anyone who may have subscribed to it a chance to take another look and try to identify before it is deleted.
