Bombus behavioral question... - Bombus impatiens - Female

I'v read that bumble bees sometimes chew into a flower to get at the nectar. It appears that is what this one is doing if you look close. am I right? she was feeding on my mom's tomato plants... will it hurt the blossam if the bee chews into it like that?

I'm fairly sure this is B. impatiens... which seems to be the only species left. for a while there were many species, and a few nests that i knew of. but all of a sudden all the other species seem to have died off probably due to parasites, and impatiens seems to be the only one left.
