is mislabeled as a wasp. It should be a labeled as a fly rather than a wasp...

Your is, in my opinion, a mydas fly but I have no idea which species...

Thanks Ron, you're right! I thought it was a wasp when I submitted it and then didn't think to change the label when I moved it to the species page.
I'll do that now.

 
Mydas tibialis.
Pretty distinctive species, seems to mimic Sphex nudus, though the flies tend to be larger than their wasp models!
