Calligrapha californica

Calligrapha californica
St. Albert, Alberta, Canada
August 7, 2021
Size: 7mm
Gal pal found this on August 7th. I put it on my desk to photograph later. I totally forgot about it. Later was last night September 10, 2021. It has survived over a month without food or water. One very tough insect. Originally it was more yellow striping than the current red. I think it is a Potato beetle. I set it free this morning, the least I could do. Oooh, found a possible on Bug Guide, perhaps Calligrapha californica?

Moved from ID Request.

Good Question
Potato beetle was the only thing I could think of. I really appreciate all the work you and your fellow experts provide. I'll see if I can fix the image tags in Bug Guide.
