Colocasia propinquilinea
I think this one looks more typical of the Closebanded Yellowhorn, based on Internet descriptions and images linked to in the Guide. Moved from Colocasia.

9184 - Yellowhorn Moth - Colocasia flavicornis
Every specimen looks different, it seems. The white spots flanking a darker area is pretty constant through light and dark forms.

Colocasia
Thanks, Bob. The genus looks good but I don't know about flavicornis. Lynn Scott shows that one to have a very dark and sharp-bordered patch in the midline. Her propinquilinea photos show less contrast. The flavicornis images at CBIF and Larry Line's site have a pale and faintly-marked distal half of the wing, but mine is darker and more heavily marked. Hmmmm.

My two cents ...
I'd say this definitely looks more like 9185 - Colocasia propinquilinea. See the difference between the two species in this MPG plate. Flavicornis is much lighter and less mottled, with distinctive difference in dark forewing band. Species page for C.propinquilinea should be created and this moved there.
