Sweat Bee - Augochlora pura

Sweat Bee - Augochlora pura
Adams County, Pennsylvania, USA
July 16, 2008
From other images in the guide, this looks like a female Augochlora pura. Would someone confirm or correct that ID?

Thanks,

Thanks John
Moved from Augochlorini.
It is good to know.

Degree of certainty?
If you are not about 100% sure it is better to keep it at a higher level. It is very hard to ID some species with certainty. It may be correct but do we know for sure?
If John Ascher had commented on it we would be comfortable with it, if not, it may be better to keep it here. There are already too many mistakes in the guide.

Thanks for your reply, Beatriz. I fully understand the need for certainty.

As always, I am very grateful for your help.

Thanks.
I am curious. When it is printed that a specimen is "moved from XXX" does that mean it was in the wrong page and was moved somewhere else? An example above, "Moved from Auguchlora pura", I see that it is now in "Tribe Augochlorini" So Auguchlora pura was incorrect??

Just trying to understand. :)

I think it is A. pura
it's just a difficult call since Augochlorella is so similar.

I see no reason to question your A. pura det.

Thanks for your confirmation, John.
