Unusual looking fly? - Tritoxa incurva - Female
Queenston, Niagara, Ontario, Canada
September 19, 2021
Size: approx 12 mm
Crawling up and down leaves, and on the ground. Hopping between leaves more than flying. Wings usually held out perpendicular to body and rotating, though did rest them along back of body occasionally. Seen in the morning, garden and grass. Seemed to be dabbing the leaves with its proboscis
