White-spotted sable moth - Anania funebris

White-spotted sable moth - Anania funebris
Williamsburg, Grand Traverse County, Michigan, USA
June 7, 2005
Size: 3/4 inch
Taken on some small flowers near the edge of the mowed lawn. Smaller than shown in the book so wonder if this is the correct id.

Id was updated to a white-spotted sable since no orange leg bands and smaller than the forester moth.

Orange leggings
Don't see the orange leggings, so we would say not eight spotted forester , but someone will know this one right off.
