Alate aphid - Aphis craccivora

Alate aphid - Aphis craccivora
Bear Valley Road at Wilbur Springs Road, Colusa County, California, USA
September 21, 2021
Size: 1.8 mm
Beat from flowering Datura and collected into Oudeman's fluid. I searched the plant fairly carefully afterwards and didn't find any more aphids, so this might not be the host plant. There are little red spots on the body, not sure what those are? Now slide mounted in balsam.

Eyeballs
The red spots in the abdomen are the eyes of the developing embryos. Creepy isn't it? XD
