Tachypompilus ferrugineus (PA)
No, this one is not even in the same subfamily as Priocnessus even though it looks very similar. Nonetheless, it's a good find because it is not a common species in the northeast.

The wasp never did return to the dill as far as i know, but if it does then I will try for some better photos

Perhaps it is the same genus, Priocnessus?

Looks like you got some great images of that one! : ) Mine was real jumpy while it was feeding, not to mention there was a breeze blowing the plant that it was on back and forth. if it comes back I may try for some better shots
