Hodges #8382 - Phlyctaina irrigualis - Male
Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida, USA

Size: Forewing ≈13mm
Resting near outdoor light in the evening. This subtropical species showed up for the first time at my home and simultaneously a few miles away at Bob Cross' home two years ago in 2019 and was photographed here again last year. It has been somewhat of a surprise to see it again now even though we had experienced a cold spell last winter with temperatures dropping a few degrees below freezing at night: Phlyctaina irrigualis usually does not survive when kept in the refrigerator overnight.
