Bumbles on NEA - Bombus impatiens
Franklin, Williamson County, Tennessee, USA
September 28, 2021
Size: A little over 1"
These two bumble bees (Bombus sp.) were seen nectaring together on a New England aster (Symphyotrichum novae-angliae) in an insectary specifically planted for beneficial insects on a 5-acre mostly organic farm. There were numerous bees and other insects in this area. INat identified them as Common Eastern bumble bee (Bombus impatiens).
