barklouse - Metylophorus novaescotiae

barklouse - Metylophorus novaescotiae
near Sharpsburg, Washington County, Maryland, USA
September 23, 2021
Size: body ~6mm from photo
A poorly marked Graphopsocus cruciatus? It seems to be missing some of the dark areas that should be found on the basal side of the forewing but I can't find anything else that looks right. Attracted to an outdoor light at night.

TIA

This is ...
Metylophorus novaescotiae, female. Note the two marks on the vertex.

thanks Diane
I was so hung up on what I thought was an incomplete wing pattern, I didn't even think about the spots on the vertex
