when
was Prodaticus re-elevated? Last I heard it was sunk as a subgenus of Hydaticus again.

You are correct
A lot of the taxonomy on BG simply isn't up to date

yes
but when/where was Prodaticus re-elevated again? Or has somebody else posted this as "Prodaticus".

Still Hydaticus
I meant that you were correct in that Prodaticus is still a subgenus of Hydaticus. The species page on BG was created when it was still a full genus (2007), but hasn't been updated since the 2016 change.

As an "editor",
can't you correct this? Or do I have an incorrect idea of what one does on BG?

rename
I can rename a taxon, but I cannot move the taxonomic position or change the its level, like changing Prodaticus from genus to subgenus or moving bimarginatus to Hydaticus. I, or anyone, have to request it through the Taxonomy Proposals section on the forum, and then it's a question of if anyone else ever sees that request. The Hydrophilidae need a lot of reorganizing, but my previous requests have garnered no response.

Hydaticus bimarginatus
Dytiscidae
