Unk. Gyponini nymph - Curtara insularis

Unk. Gyponini nymph - Curtara insularis
Houston, Harris County, Texas, USA
September 25, 2021
Caught on Sept. 25 and kept on grasses. It molted on Sept. 30 and seemed to be doing just fine until about Oct. 9, when feeding seemed to stop. Dead on Oct. 10. My second rearing attempt for this species.

The earlier instar appeared to feed on the leaves, and the later one appeared to feed on the stems. Maybe it needs yet another part of the plant in order to complete its development?

Presumably same species as .

Species found in this specific location include Curtara insularis and, less commonly, Negosiana dualis.
