Thanks for the comment and link. This aphid was swept from an overgrown weedy patch along a sidewalk. It was mostly grasses. There was a small amount of sedge and Ambrosia sp.
I added a photo that seems to show "four hairs" at the cauda, but I think the antenna pattern differs from the species shown in the link you provided.

A little different.
Looks like there can be some variation, which isn't surprising. Yours doesn't have the pale basal half on segment V but I'm not finding anything else with this rusty red color, pale cauda and dark siphunculi.
