stinkbug nymphs - Chinavia hilaris

stinkbug nymphs - Chinavia hilaris
Richmond, Chesterfield County, Virginia, USA
July 23, 2008
Size: 1 millimeter
I noticed this cluster, of what I believe to be insects, on the underside of a butterfly bush leaf this morning. They are so small. I thought they were eggs, until I zoomed the picture and could recognize legs and eyes. On a leaf very nearby was what appeared to be opened eggs. (I will be uploading that picture as well). They appear to have six legs. They have not moved all day.

They are stinkbug nymphs
I know there are some similar ones in the guide, can't remember if any have been identified to species or even genus, though.
