small, circa 6-8 mm length (guide images; three neotropical species listed as 7-8 mm)
Identification
Small to tiny robber flies, often seen perching on ends of twigs, stems. Note swollen hind tibiae--quoting from a key (4):
"Posterior tibiae strongly swollen, about twice as large as the anterior"
