Newburgh, Indiana, USA
July 17, 2008
Spargaloma sexpunctata maybe? At least in the Erebidae family?
Looks like a pencil shaving.

maybe Ennomid? http://bugguide.net/node/view/127776/bgimage
or Friendly Probole? http://bugguide.net/node/view/25050/bgimage

hmm
I would say this is in genus Probole, and maybe species P. amicaria - Friendly Probole - Hodges#6838

If you're comfortable with moving it to the genus level, maybe someone who specializes will able to separate out which one,or move it to another genus if appropriate.
