This wasp seemed especially attracted to the orange plastic ring on my water bottle, which is a recycled Gatorade bottle. Perhaps because it's the same orange as on the wasp's abdomen?

A caterpillar-hunting wasp in the family Sphecidae. It was attracted to your Gatorade because they drink sweet liquids (Usually nectar from flowers) to obtain energy.
