Presumed Curtara insularis - Curtara insularis

Presumed Curtara insularis - Curtara insularis
Houston, Harris County, Texas, USA
October 18, 2021
Swept on 10/16/21 from patch of grasses along sidewalk. Put it in a vial with stems and seedheads of a couple grasses. It went to one that had 2-4 long seedheads. Produced honeydew within the first day. Died early afternoon 10/19.

Curtara insularis is the only gyponine I've found in this small (10x10 feet) patch of grass. It has a sidewalk and street on one side, a driveway and parking lot on two other sides, and a mowed field on the other side.

Moved from Gyponini.
