Size: 1.5 mm
Found this tiny dirt-covered beetle while peeling bark off a conifer stump. It reminds me of a Latridiid. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Possibly.
Overall habitus *does* resemble Enicmus, judging from images on this site. The genus is listed for Ontario by the Coleoptera Checklist. Don't know if there are any other look-alikes, however.

The antennal base
certainly looks like that family.
